The Galway City Council met this week to discuss the local authority’s inaugural Climate Action Plan (CAP), which was unanimously approved by councillors.

For the first time since 2020, members of the public interested in volunteering are being invited to the Galway City Volunteer Recruitment Fair in Leisureland on Sunday February 18 between 2pm and 5pm. There will be over 50 charities and community organisations from across the city at the Fair, which is being organised by Galway Volunteer Centre. Last year over 1000 people attended the event to speak to organisations about the work that they do and the volunteer roles that they are trying to fill.
